In 1995 Rob and I wrote a song called "Bob" for the band we were in at the time. It was an homage to JR Bob Dobbs, leader of the Church Of The SubGenius. When we formed our new band, we took the lyrics, wrote completely new music for it, then changed the title to "Funky Bob" because we were unimaginitive prats and the new song had an envelope filter effect on the guitar and a Flea-style slap bass part. The amended title came to me a couple of months later during a very strange dream, where the words DIRTY FUR DISCO appeared in big red neon lettering.

To this date I still have absolutely no idea what it means.
